The verse presents Satī as the embodiment of satya (truth) and śuddhi (purity), whose very name is said to confer auspiciousness; in Shaiva understanding, such inner purity naturally turns the soul toward Pati (Rudra), the Lord who grants grace and liberation.
By calling her “Rudra-priyā,” the text highlights devotion to Saguna Shiva—Rudra as the personal Lord—who is worshiped through forms like the Liṅga; Satī’s identity centers on loving alignment with Rudra, which is the heart of devotional Liṅga-upāsanā.
The practical takeaway is to cultivate satī-bhāva—truthfulness, chastity of intention, and steadfast devotion—supported by daily Shiva worship such as japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and simple Liṅga-arcana with purity and reverence.
