मेनावरलाभवर्णनम् — Description of Menā’s Attainment of Boons

नारद उवाच । अन्तर्हितायान्देव्यां तु दुर्गायां स्वगृहेषु च । गतेष्वमरवृन्देषु किमभूत्तदनन्तरम्
nārada uvāca | antarhitāyāndevyāṃ tu durgāyāṃ svagṛheṣu ca | gateṣvamaravṛndeṣu kimabhūttadanantaram
Nārada thưa: “Khi Nữ Thần Durgā đã ẩn mình và trở về nơi ngự của Người, và khi đoàn chư thiên đã rời đi về các cõi của mình, thì ngay sau đó đã xảy ra điều gì?”

It marks a transition point: after the visible play (līlā) of Śakti as Durgā concludes and the devas withdraw, the Purāṇa turns to the next inner movement of destiny—showing how divine events unfold beyond immediate appearances under Śiva’s overarching will (Pati) and Śakti’s guidance.
By highlighting Durgā’s manifestation and withdrawal, the verse points to Saguna divinity appearing for the protection and instruction of beings; such appearances lead devotees back toward steadier worship—often centered on Śiva’s accessible forms like the Liṅga—where devotion continues even when visions and miracles subside.
The takeaway is steadiness after extraordinary experiences: continue regular Śiva-upāsanā—japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), wearing rudrākṣa and applying tripuṇḍra as daily disciplines—so devotion remains firm whether the divine is seen or hidden.
