अध्याय ४९ — विवाहानुष्ठाने ब्रह्मणः काममोहः
Brahmā’s Enchantment by Desire during the Wedding Rites
अनिदेंश्याय नित्याय विद्युज्ज्वालाय रूपिणे । अग्निवर्णाय देवाय शंकराय नमोनमः
anideṃśyāya nityāya vidyujjvālāya rūpiṇe | agnivarṇāya devāya śaṃkarāya namonamaḥ
Xin đảnh lễ, đảnh lễ mãi mãi lên Śaṅkara—Đấng Thần linh vượt ngoài mọi chỉ định, hằng thường bất diệt, tự thân là ngọn lửa chớp, rực sáng như lửa thiêng.

Sthala Purana: Not tied to a single shrine; the imagery of unindicated (anirdeśya) and fiery radiance aligns with the jyoti (light) theology that undergirds Jyotirliṅga narratives.
Significance: Meditation on anirdeśya Śaṅkara cultivates nirvikalpa-bhāva (beyond conceptual pointing) and loosens pāśa through insight and devotion.

It praises Shiva as both transcendent (beyond indication or definition) and immanent (experienced as blazing, purifying divine radiance), guiding the devotee toward surrender to Pati, the liberator in Shaiva Siddhanta.
Though Shiva is described as beyond grasp (nirdeśātīta), the verse affirms Saguna worship by meditating on His luminous form—like fire and lightning—an imagery strongly aligned with Linga worship as the sign of the formless Reality made approachable.
Chant “namo namaḥ śaṅkarāya” with bhakti while visualizing Shiva as inner fire (tejas) that burns impurities; it pairs naturally with japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and calm, steady breath-focused meditation.
