It portrays Maheśvara as the inner “Sun” (savitā)—self-luminous Consciousness—while also showing his Saguna, approachable majesty, teaching that devotion honors the Supreme with reverent service and recognition of his radiance.
The parasol and cāmara are classic upacāras (royal offerings) used in temple and Liṅga-pūjā; the verse supports Saguna worship where Śiva is treated as the living Lord present in the icon/Liṅga and served with ceremonial honors.
Perform upacāra-pūjā with a devotional attitude—offer fan-service (cāmara), respectful honors, and mentally contemplate Śiva as the radiant savitā within, repeating the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” during worship.
