Menā’s Vision of Śiva’s Divine Form
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the Pārvatīkhaṇḍa account to the sages, describing Śiva’s response)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva as Pati (the Lord) whose supreme nature is not merely metaphysical but is experienced as grace—He responds to sincere words with compassionate revelation, guiding the soul toward liberation.
The verse emphasizes Śiva’s self-revelation in an accessible, gracious mode—supporting Saguna worship (including Liṅga-upāsanā) where the devotee encounters the Lord’s divinity through a manifest form and felt mercy.
A practical takeaway is heartfelt śravaṇa (listening) and bhakti-filled prayer, followed by japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” seeking Śiva’s anugraha (grace) rather than mere display of austerity.
