तद्गत्वा प्रभुणा देव प्रार्थितेन त्वदन्तिकम् । प्रस्थापिता वयं शीघ्रं ह्यृषयस्साप्यरुन्धती
tadgatvā prabhuṇā deva prārthitena tvadantikam | prasthāpitā vayaṃ śīghraṃ hyṛṣayassāpyarundhatī
“Bạch Deva, khi chúng tôi đến đó, được Đấng Chúa Tể khẩn khoản thỉnh cầu, nên chúng tôi liền được sai đi gấp đến trước ngài—chúng tôi là các ṛṣi, cùng với Arundhatī.”

The verse highlights disciplined obedience to divine will: when the Lord requests, the sages respond swiftly. In Shaiva thought, such prompt service (sevā) becomes a channel for Śiva’s anugraha (grace) and supports dharma in the unfolding of sacred events.
It reflects Saguna devotion—approaching the Deva ‘in person’ (tvat-antikam) with reverence. Linga-worship similarly trains the devotee to come near the Lord through visible, ritually honored form, expressing surrender and readiness to serve.
The key takeaway is śīghra-anusandhāna—prompt recollection and response to the Lord. Practically, one can cultivate this through daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with the resolve to act quickly on dharmic duties as an offering to Śiva.
