Pārvatī’s Return to Her Father’s House and the Auspicious Welcome

It highlights the ideal of vairāgya (non-grasping): the true mendicant seeks only what is necessary and remains unattached, even when approaching the Divine Mother (Durgā/Pārvatī) herself.
By showing reverence to Durgā (Śiva’s śakti) through humble bhikṣā, the verse points to Saguna devotion expressed as surrender and simplicity—an inner attitude that also supports Linga-worship as disciplined, ego-free offering.
Practice restrained living and offering-centered devotion: take only what is needed, dedicate one’s actions to Śiva-Śakti, and support daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with a spirit of non-possessiveness.
