Aftermath of Kāma’s Burning
Pārvatī’s Fear and Himavān’s Consolation
Lord Shiva (inferred from the Pārvatīkhaṇḍa dialogue affirming Pārvatī’s exclusive bond with Śiva)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umapati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It teaches ananya-bhakti—single-pointed allegiance to Pati (Śiva) as the supreme refuge—showing that true union with Śiva is sustained by unwavering fidelity of heart, not external pressure or circumstance.
The verse emphasizes exclusive acceptance of Śiva alone, which aligns with Linga/Saguna worship where the devotee chooses Śiva as the sole Lord and support, approaching Him with constancy (niṣṭhā) rather than divided devotion.
Practice daily japa with a one-pointed vow—especially the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—as a discipline of steadfastness, mirroring Pārvatī’s unwavering commitment to Śiva.
