तद्बुध्या देहतो याति सर्वपापादिको मलः । तदाऽज्ञानं च नश्येत ज्ञानवाञ्जायते यदा
tadbudhyā dehato yāti sarvapāpādiko malaḥ | tadā'jñānaṃ ca naśyeta jñānavāñjāyate yadā

The verse teaches that when right spiritual understanding (buddhi aligned to Shiva) arises, the mala of sin and impurity falls away, ignorance dissolves, and the aspirant becomes established in liberating knowledge—an essential Shaiva Siddhanta movement from pasha (bondage) toward Shiva-realization.
Linga-worship and devotion to Saguna Shiva are presented as means to refine buddhi through faith, mantra, and purity; as that insight matures, it burns away pāpa-mala and culminates in jñāna, the inner fruit of outward worship.
A practical takeaway is steady japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a purified life (often supported by bhasma/Tripuṇḍra and Rudraksha), so that buddhi becomes Shiva-oriented and ignorance naturally ceases.
