Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: The verse presents Śiva as jyoti (pure light) manifesting swiftly with His śaktis and gaṇas; this is a generic jyoti-theophany motif rather than a specific Jyotirliṅga origin episode.
Significance: Darśana of Śiva as jyoti is framed as intrinsically purifying and grace-bestowing (anugraha), a template for tīrtha-darśana theology.
It highlights Śiva as Jyoti (pure consciousness-light) who, out of grace, takes a flawless, knowable form for devotees—showing that the transcendent Pati can still be directly encountered through divine manifestation.
The verse supports Jyotirliṅga theology: the formless, nirguṇa Reality is experienced as jyoti and becomes accessible as a saguna revelation, grounding liṅga-darśana and pilgrimage devotion in a metaphysical source.
Meditate on Śiva as inner jyoti while performing liṅga-pūjā—reciting the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and cultivating purity (amala-bhāva) to receive His swift darśana.
