The Manifestation/Origin of the Rāmeśvara Liṅga
वानरा ऊचुः । जलं च गृह्यतां स्वामिन्नानीतं तत्त्वदाज्ञया । महोत्तमं च सुस्वादु शीतलं प्राणतर्पणम्
vānarā ūcuḥ | jalaṃ ca gṛhyatāṃ svāminnānītaṃ tattvadājñayā | mahottamaṃ ca susvādu śītalaṃ prāṇatarpaṇam
Các vānaras thưa: “Bạch chủ thượng, xin nhận lấy nước này, chúng tôi đem về đúng theo mệnh lệnh chân chính. Nước thật thượng hảo, vị ngon, mát lạnh, làm sảng khoái cả sinh khí.”

Water is a primary upacāra in Shiva worship (jala/abhisheka). The verse reflects Saguna devotion—serving the Lord through tangible offerings—while implying that the inner truth (tattva) and intent make the act sacred.
Jala-abhisheka with cool, clean water offered with mantra-japa (such as the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and a serviceful attitude; the emphasis is on sincerity and dharmic intention rather than complexity.
