Nāgeśa-jyotirliṅga-prādurbhāvaḥ — The Manifestation of the Nāgeśa Jyotirliṅga

The verse highlights intense worldly striving—even by the devas—showing that power and effort alone are not ultimate; in Shaiva Siddhanta, true refuge is Pati (Lord Shiva), who alone grants right order and liberation beyond conflict.
The devas’ gathering for battle contrasts outer action with inner reliance; worship of the Linga (Saguna Shiva as an accessible focus) centers the mind in Shiva’s sovereignty, reminding devotees that victory and protection ultimately rest in Shiva’s grace.
Adopt steady japa of the Panchakshara—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—before undertaking difficult tasks, and reinforce inner discipline with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and a Rudrāksha mala to cultivate fearlessness and devotion.
