Kāmarūpeśvara’s Trial and Śiva’s Hidden Protection (कামरूपेश्वर-रक्षा-प्रसङ्गः)
एवं धैर्य्यं समालंब्य ध्यात्वा देवं च शंकरम् । प्रार्थयामास सद्भक्त्या मनसैव रसेश्वरः
evaṃ dhairyyaṃ samālaṃbya dhyātvā devaṃ ca śaṃkaram | prārthayāmāsa sadbhaktyā manasaiva raseśvaraḥ
Vì thế, Raseśvara gom lòng kiên định, quán niệm Thần Śaṅkara; với lòng bhakti chân thành, ông dâng lời cầu nguyện—lặng thầm, chỉ trong tâm mà thôi.

It teaches that steadiness (dhairya) and inner meditation on Śiva, supported by sincere devotion, are themselves a complete form of worship that draws Śiva’s grace.
By naming Śaṅkara and emphasizing meditation and prayer, the verse supports Saguna devotion: even without external rites, one may worship the Lord (as Linga/Īśvara) through mental pūjā and heartfelt bhakti.
Mānasa-japa and dhyāna: mentally focusing on Śiva and offering inner prayer; it pairs well with Panchakshara japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple contemplative worship, even when external materials are unavailable.
