Questions on Guruhood, Lineage, and Purificatory Discipline
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Mantra: "sa evāhaṃ śivosmīti"
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
It teaches inner contemplation where the limited ego-sense is refined into the deeper ‘I’-principle, recognized as Shiva—Pati, the supreme Self—leading the seeker toward liberation through direct insight.
Linga and Saguna worship stabilize devotion and purity; this verse points to the inner culmination of that worship—realizing Shiva as the indwelling reality (Pati) beyond the body-mind, while honoring Shiva’s inseparable Śakti.
A focused Shiva-dhyāna: sit in purity, remember Shiva with mantra-japa (e.g., Panchākṣarī ‘Om Namaḥ Śivāya’), and repeatedly contemplate the meaning of ‘I’ as grounded in Shiva’s presence rather than ego.
