Suta Goswami (narrating the teaching as received in the Shiva Purana tradition)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Mantra: oṃ … (samastam) … (mayi) …; then dhyāna of Sadāśiva in the heart; mantra continues beginning ‘maṃdā…’ (as indicated)
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
Cosmic Event: Interiorization of the cosmic Lord (samasta) into the heart-space as locus of grace
It emphasizes inward Shaiva practice: first aligning speech in a deliberate mantra-sequence, then fixing awareness on Sadāśiva in the heart—showing that mantra becomes fruitful when joined with dhyāna (inner contemplation) and surrender to Pati (the Lord).
While external worship (including Liṅga-pūjā) is foundational, this verse points to the complementary inner worship—visualizing Sadāśiva within the heart—indicating that Saguna forms and ritual culminate in internalized devotion and yogic absorption.
A mantra-japa sequence combined with heart-centered meditation (hṛd-dhyāna) on Sadāśiva; the instruction implies disciplined recitation and contemplation rather than mere mechanical chanting.
