It teaches that true renunciation is inward: the external sacrificial fire is gathered into the self (inner discipline and awareness), and the seeker departs household identity toward liberation—aligning with Shaiva Siddhanta’s emphasis on purification and turning the mind toward Pati (Shiva).
By internalizing Agni and stabilizing mantra-recitation, the practitioner shifts from outer rites to inner worship—supporting Saguna Shiva worship as disciplined upasana that matures into deeper contemplation, where Shiva is realized as the indwelling Lord beyond ritual dependence.
A pravrajya-oriented practice: mentally ‘install’ the sacred fire within (inner tapas) and recite the first pāda of the Sāvitrī (Gāyatrī) with a deliberate utterance of “Sāvitrī,” as a mantra-sankalpa that steadies the mind for renunciant life.
