यदा कदा च मीढुषे स्तोता जरेत मर्त्यः आदिद्वन्देत वरुणं विपा गिरा धर्त्तारं विव्रतानाम्

Dù khi nào, vào bất cứ lúc nào, nếu người phàm—kẻ tế tự—muốn ca tụng vị thần rộng ban; thì bậc trí, bằng lời thánh ca (gīrā), hãy tôn thờ Varuṇa, đấng nâng giữ muôn điều thệ nguyện và quy phạm.
