Agni as the bountiful, ṛta-sustaining fire who makes the sacrifice auspicious and protects the rite
यजिष्ठं त्वा ववृमहे देवं देवत्रा होतारममर्त्यम् अस्य यज्ञस्य सुक्रतुम्
