Agni as Jātavedas—ritual guide and luminous power who secures faultless sacrifice and protection in the sadas

इमं स्तोममर्हते जातवेदसे रथमिव सं महेमा मनीषया भद्रा हि नः प्रमतिरस्य संसद्यग्ने सख्ये मा रिषामा वयं तव .

imaṃ stomamarhate jātavedase rathamiva saṃ mahemā manīṣayā bhadrā hi naḥ pramatirasya saṃsadyagne sakhye mā riṣāmā vayaṃ tava .

Chúng tôi, với tư duy mộ đạo (manīṣā), kết dệt bài tán tụng (stoma) này dâng lên Jātavedas, đấng xứng đáng, như cỗ xe được lắp ghép vững chặt. Vì trong hội tế (saṃsad), sự chỉ dẫn của Ngài là điềm lành cho chúng tôi. Hỡi Agni, trong tình bằng hữu (sakhya) của Ngài, xin cho chúng tôi—những kẻ thuộc về Ngài—đừng chịu tổn hại.
