Sukta 6.9
अयं होता प्रथमः पश्यतेममिदं ज्योतिरमृतं मर्त्येषु । अयं स जज्ञे ध्रुव आ निषत्तोऽमर्त्यस्तन्वा वर्धमानः ॥
ayáṃ hótā prathamáḥ páśyate mám idáṃ jyótir amṛ́taṃ mártyeṣu | ayáṃ sá jajñe dhrúvá ā́ ni-sattó 'mártyas tanvā́ vardhamā́naḥ ||
Đây chính là Hotṛ, kẻ đầu tiên chiêm kiến—ánh Sáng bất tử này giữa những kẻ phải chết. Chính người ấy: đã sinh ra và ngự vững bền; là kẻ không chết, lớn lên trong chúng ta bằng chính thân mình (sự hiện diện).
