घृतेन द्यावापृथिवी अभीवृते घृतश्रिया घृतपृचा घृतावृधा । उर्वी पृथ्वी होतृवूर्ये पुरोहिते ते इद्विप्रा ईळते सुम्नमिष्टये ॥

ghṛténa dyā́vāpṛthivī́ abhī́vr̥te ghṛtaśríyā ghṛtapŕ̥cā ghṛtāvŕ̥dhā | urvī́ pr̥thvī́ hotṛvū́rye puróhite té íd víprā īḷate sumnám iṣṭáye ||

Bằng ghṛta, Trời và Đất được bao phủ—rực rỡ với vinh quang ghṛta, đầy ghṛta, lớn mạnh nhờ ghṛta. Đất rộng được đặt phía trước như quyền năng của hotṛ trong lễ hiến; các bậc hiền triết khẩn cầu, để xin ân phúc (sumna) làm cho tế lễ được viên thành.
