समस्मिञ्जायमान आसत ग्ना उतेमवर्धन्नद्यः स्वगूर्ताः । महे यत्त्वा पुरूरवो रणायावर्धयन्दस्युहत्याय देवाः ॥

sám asmín jā́yamāna āsata gnā́ utém avardhann adyàḥ sva-gū́rtāḥ | mahé yát tvā purūravo raṇā́yāvardhayan dasyu-hátyāya devā́ḥ ||

Ngay lúc ngươi chào đời, các quyền năng rực sáng đã hiện diện; các dòng sông cũng làm ngươi thêm lớn, được dẫn dắt đúng đường. Vì một công việc vĩ đại, hỡi Purūravas, các thần đã làm ngươi mạnh lên cho trận chiến—để diệt kẻ phá rối tối tăm.
