इन्द्रजित्-वधः
The Slaying of Indrajit
ततस्तान् राक्षसान् सर्वान् हर्षयन् रावणात्मजः ।स्तुवानोहर्षमाणश्चइदंवचनमब्रवीत् ।।।।
tatas tān rākṣasān sarvān harṣayan rāvaṇātmajaḥ | stuvāno harṣamāṇaś ca idaṃ vacanam abravīt ||
Bấy giờ, con trai của Rāvaṇa khích lệ hết thảy các Rākṣasa, vừa ca ngợi vừa hân hoan, rồi cất lời nói này để nâng cao khí thế.
Then Ravana's son, praising all the Rakshasas making them happy, spoke these words.
The verse highlights leadership through speech: words can strengthen collective resolve. In a Dharmic reading, persuasive speech should ideally support righteous aims; here it shows the power of rhetoric even when used for an adharmic cause.
In the battle context, Indrajit addresses and heartens the Rākṣasa host, preparing them for renewed combat.
Strategic leadership and morale-building—Indrajit’s ability to rally and motivate his side through praise and encouragement.
