Dvandva-Yuddha: The Onset of Single Combats
तंरथस्थमथोदृष्टवासुषेणोवानरोत्तमः ।गिरिशृङ्गेणमहतारथमाशुन्यपातयत् ।।6.43.35।।
taṃ rathastham atho dṛṣṭvā suṣeṇo vānarottamaḥ | giriśṛṅgeṇa mahatā ratham āśu nyapātayat ||6.43.35||
Thấy hắn còn ở trên chiến xa, Suṣeṇa—bậc tối thắng trong hàng Vānara—liền nhanh chóng nhấc một đỉnh núi lớn mà quật, làm chiến xa ấy ngã nhào.
Nay, Sushena, the leader of Vanaras, saw himself down and Jambumali on top in the chariot. He crushed him with a big mountain peak.
Dharma-guided strategy: rather than responding only to pain, Suṣeṇa targets the tactical advantage (the chariot), reducing the enemy’s capacity to harm.
Suṣeṇa counters Vidyunmālī’s chariot-based assault by toppling the chariot with a mountain-peak.
Prājñya-yuddha (intelligent combat): calm assessment and effective countermeasure under pressure.
