Suka and Sāraṇa’s Espionage and Release
संस्थितंपर्वताग्रेषुनिर्दरेषुगुहासुच ।समुद्रस्यचतीरेषुवनेषूपवनेषुच ।।।।तरमाणंचतीर्णंचतर्तुकामंचसर्वशः ।निविष्टंनिविश्चैवभीमनादंमहाबलम् ।।।।तद्बलार्णवमक्षोभ्यंददृशातेनिशाचरौ ।
saṃsthitaṃ parvatāgreṣu nirdareṣu guhāsu ca | samudrasya ca tīreṣu vaneṣūpavaneṣu ca ||
taramāṇaṃ ca tīrṇaṃ ca tartukāmaṃ ca sarvaśaḥ | niviṣṭaṃ niviś caiva bhīmanādaṃ mahābalam ||
tad-balārṇavam akṣobhyaṃ dadṛśāte niśācarau ||
Họ thấy đại quân ấy như biển cả, bất động và đại lực, trải khắp nơi: đứng trên đỉnh núi, trong khe sâu và hang động, dọc bờ biển, giữa rừng và lâm viên. Kẻ thì đang vượt, kẻ đã qua, kẻ khắp nơi mong vượt; kẻ thì an trú, lại tụ hội, gầm vang tiếng rợn người. Hai dạ-xoa ấy nhìn thấy biển lực ấy không sao lay chuyển.
The ocean of army settled on the mountain summits, in caverns and caves, on the shores of the ocean, in the forests and adjoining gardens; some who crossed the sea some in the process of crossing settled all over was witnessed by the Rakshasas. It was never ending and making terrific noise.
Dharma appears as disciplined collective action: a righteous cause is supported by organized effort, restraint, and readiness rather than chaos—strength is shown as ordered presence across terrain.
The spies Śuka and Sāraṇa witness the vast Vānara encampment spread across the shoreline, hills, and forests, with troops in different stages of crossing and deployment.
Steadfastness and resolve (dṛḍhatā): the host is described as “unshakable,” reflecting unwavering commitment to Rāma’s mission.
