Ravana’s Shakti Javelin and Lakshmana’s Wounding
क्ष्मणंपरिवार्यैवतिष्ठध्वंवानरोत्तमाः ।।6.101.46।।पराक्रमस्यकालोऽयंसम्प्राप्तोमेचिरेप्सितः ।पापात्मायंदशग्रीवोवध्यतांपापनिश्चयः ।।6.101.47।।काङ्क्षितस्स्तोककस्येवघर्मान्तेमेघदर्शनम् ।
lakṣmaṇaṃ parivāryaiva tiṣṭhadhvaṃ vānarottamāḥ |
parākramasya kālo 'yaṃ samprāpto me cirepsitaḥ |
pāpātmāyaṃ daśagrīvo vadhyatāṃ pāpaniścayaḥ |
kāṅkṣitas stokakasyeva gharmānte meghadarśanam ||
Hỡi các bậc tối thắng trong loài Vānara, hãy đứng vững, vây quanh bảo hộ Lakṣmaṇa. Giờ phút ta phô bày dũng lực—điều ta hằng mong đợi từ lâu—nay đã đến. Tên Daśagrīva tội lỗi này, kẻ quyết tâm làm điều ác, hãy bị tiêu diệt. Với ta, điều ấy như chim chātaka khát mưa, mong mỏi được thấy mây hiện ra vào cuối mùa nóng.
"O foremost of Vanaras! Take care of Lakshmana by surrounding him. Just as clouds appeared before the chataka bird waiting for long, time has come to exhibit my valour which was awaited for long. Now I will destroy the ten -headed Ravana of sinful resolve rightfully in a short while from now."
