पूर्वदिशि सीतामार्गण-नियोगः
Deployment to the Eastern Quarter for the Search of Sita
एवमुक्तस्तु सुग्रीवो विनतं नाम यूथपम्।अब्रवीद्रामसान्निध्ये लक्ष्मणस्य च धीमतः।।4.40.16।।शैलाभं मेघनिर्घोषमूर्जितं प्लवगेश्वरः।
evam uktas tu sugrīvo vinataṃ nāma yūthapam | abravīd rāma-sānnidhye lakṣmaṇasya ca dhīmataḥ || 4.40.16 ||
śailābhaṃ megha-nirghoṣam ūrjitaṃ plavageśvaraḥ |
Được nói như vậy, Sugrīva—chúa tể loài khỉ—ở trước mặt Rāma và Lakṣmaṇa bậc trí, liền gọi vị thủ lĩnh bầy đàn tên Vinata, thân hình như núi, tiếng vang như mây sấm, và lực lưỡng cường tráng, rồi cất lời.
