Thấy Lakṣmaṇa, con vua Daśaratha, giận dữ, thở gấp, uy quang rực sáng, bị nỗi sầu vì cảnh khốn của anh mình thiêu đốt, Sugrīva, bậc đứng đầu loài vānara, liền bật dậy khỏi chiếc ngai vàng—như đại kỳ trang sức của Indra được dựng cao.
'O monkey, if you are grateful to Rama you should wish to search for Sita. Indeed, you should make efforts to take it up.
Honor and obligation within alliances: when one party (Rāma) suffers due to delay, the other (Sugrīva) must respond promptly and respectfully to correction.
This is a repeat/overlap verse presentation in the Southern Recension formatting, describing Sugrīva’s immediate reaction upon seeing Lakṣmaṇa’s righteous anger.
Humility before justified reproach—Sugrīva’s sudden rising symbolizes readiness to listen and to act.
