Seeing enraged Lakshmana, son of Dasaratha, sighing heavily, glowing like bright fire burning with the sorrow of Rama, Sugriva jumped out of his seat quitting the decorated golden throne just as Indra's decorated banner is raised up suddenly.
Dharma includes consequence for betrayal of obligation: refusing to honor truth and gratitude invites swift punishment in the moral order upheld by Rāma’s side.
Lakṣmaṇa escalates from rebuke to a direct warning: continued neglect of the pact will bring lethal retribution.
Steadfastness to justice—Lakṣmaṇa represents uncompromising enforcement of pledged duty.
