'Dear Hanuman! In obedience to my father's command I should not enter any village or city for fourteen years.
Satya and dharma as vow-keeping: Rāma treats his father’s command as binding truth, restraining personal convenience to uphold integrity.
Hanumān’s invitation implies entering Kiṣkindhā; Rāma declines, citing the exile-rule that he must not enter settlements for fourteen years.
Steadfast fidelity to a promise (pitṛ-vākya-paripālana), showing self-control and unwavering commitment to righteousness.
