Tara’s Counsel to Vali on Sugriva’s Roar and Rama’s Alliance

Overcome with anger, Vali looked pale like the eclipsed Sun with the golden radiance faded from his face.
Dharma warns against anger (krodha) as it eclipses discernment and inner radiance, leading one away from right judgment.
The narration depicts Vālī’s transformation under rage, setting the stage for his refusal to accept sound counsel.
By contrast, the verse highlights the need for self-control; Vālī’s lack of it becomes a moral signal.
