tad idaṃ vartayiṣyāmi sarvaṃ nikhilam āditaḥ | dharma-kāma-artha-sahitaṃ śrotavyam anasūyayā ||

Translation

Vì vậy, nay ta sẽ thuật lại trọn vẹn câu chuyện này, từ thuở ban đầu—bản anh hùng ca gồm đủ dharma, artha và kāma—xin hãy lắng nghe với tâm không soi lỗi, không thành kiến.
