Bhagīratha’s Petition for the Descent of Gaṅgā
देया च सन्ततिर्देव नावसीदेत्कुलं च न:।इक्ष्वाकूणां कुले देव एष मेऽस्तु वर:पर:।।1.42.20।।
deyā ca santatir deva nāvasīdet kulaṁ ca naḥ | ikṣvākūṇāṁ kule deva eṣa me 'stu varaḥ paraḥ ||1.42.20||
Lại nữa, bạch Thiên Chủ, xin ban cho dòng dõi nối tiếp, để tông tộc chúng con không bị đoạn tuyệt. Trong dòng Ikṣvāku, bạch Chúa Tể, xin cho đây là ân huệ thêm nữa của con.
