Bow of Mithilā
मैथिलस्य नरश्रेष्ठ जनकस्य भविष्यति।यज्ञ: परमधर्मिष्ठस्तस्य यास्यामहे वयम्।।1.31.6।।
maithilasya naraśreṣṭha janakasya bhaviṣyati | yajñaḥ paramadharmiṣṭhas tasya yāsyāmahe vayam || 1.31.6 ||
Hỡi bậc tối thượng trong loài người, vua Janaka của Mithilā sẽ cử hành một đại tế lễ chí công chí chính; chúng ta sẽ đến dự tế lễ ấy.
"O foremost of men, Janaka, king of Mithila, is performing a great religious sacrifice. We shall go there.
Dharma is framed as participation in and support of righteous sacrificial rites (yajña), a social-spiritual duty sustaining order and truth.
The sages inform Rāma that King Janaka of Mithilā is about to conduct a great sacrifice and that they will travel there.
Religious responsibility and alignment with dharmic institutions (yajña conducted in righteousness).
