Daśaratha’s orders for Rama’s escort; Kaikeyi’s fear; the Asamañjasa precedent
O Devi, there is no use obstructing Rama's prosperity. O one with an auspicious countenance, save yourself from the censure of the world.
Dharma includes accountability before society: wrongful acts invite rightful public censure, so one should restrain harmful actions and uphold fairness.
The speaker urges Kaikeyī to stop obstructing Rāma and warns that her actions will bring lasting public reproach.
Concern for moral reputation tied to righteous conduct—recognizing that adharma harms both victim and perpetrator.
