Thấy người con yêu đứng gần bên, cúi mình với đôi tay chắp lại, đức vua nắm lấy hai tay đang khép của con, kéo lại gần và ôm chầm đứa con chí ái.
Seeing his beloved son Rama who was standing by his side with folded hands in supplication, king Dasaratha, held his folded hands and drew him near and embraced him.
Dharma is shown as reciprocal duty and affection within the family: the son’s respect is met by the father’s protective love and acceptance.
After Rāma’s respectful salutation, Daśaratha responds warmly in public, acknowledging him with an embrace.
Daśaratha’s vātsalya (fatherly affection) and graciousness toward a dutiful son.
