The Consecration of Rama’s Sandals and Bharata’s Trusteeship at Nandigrama
nityaṃ te bandhu-lubdhasya tiṣṭhato bhrātṛ-sauhṛde | ārya-mārgaṃ prapannasya nānumanyeta kaḥ pumān ||
After the coronation of the sandals of his esteemed brother Rama, illustrious Bharata ruled the kingdom, subordianating himself to them.
Dharma is framed as ārya-mārga—noble conduct grounded in loyalty, goodwill, and restraint; society naturally endorses such righteousness.
Elders validate Bharata’s stance as consistent with noble tradition and family duty.
Steadfastness in ethical intention and relational responsibility (care for kin and brothers).
