Jabali’s Pragmatic Counsel to Rama

अर्थधर्मपरा ये ये तांस्तांछोचामि नेतरान्।ते हि दुःखमिह प्राप्य विनाशं प्रेत्य भेजिरे।।।।

arthadharmaparā ye ye tāṃs tāñ chocāmi netarān |

te hi duḥkham iha prāpya vināśaṃ pretya bhejire || 2.108.13 ||

Ta thương xót những ai lấy artha và dharma làm chỗ ràng buộc mà chuyên chú theo đuổi, chứ không thương kẻ khác; vì họ chịu khổ ở đời này, rồi sau khi chết cũng vẫn đi đến tiêu tán.
