भरतवाक्यं—रामस्य पुनरायोध्यागमननिषेधः
Bharata’s Plea and Rama’s Refusal to Return
गुरुः क्रियावान्वृद्धश्च राजा प्रेतः पितेतिच।तातं न परिगर्हेयं दैवतं चेति संसदि।।।।
guruḥ kriyāvān vṛddhaś ca rājā pretaḥ pitā iti ca |
tātaṃ na parigarhēyaṃ daivataṃ ceti saṃsadi ||
Ngài là thầy tôn kính của ta, siêng hành nghi lễ thánh, tuổi đã cao, lại là bậc quân vương; nay đã khuất, và là phụ thân của ta. Vì thế, giữa hội chúng này, ta không thể quở trách phụ vương—đấng đối với ta như một vị thần.
King Dasaratha, my father and preceptor, is god-like to me. Devoted to meritorious acts, he departed from this world in his old age. For this reason, I cannot reproach him (publicly) in this assembly (of men).
