O Rama! see, even now they illuminate the sacrificial altars with the power of their penance. They shed light in all directions with a matchless brilliance.
Dharma affirms that spiritual discipline (tapas) leaves a purifying, beneficent influence; righteous effort is not merely private but uplifts the world.
Śabarī points out that the hermitage altars still appear luminous, attributing this to the sages’ accumulated ascetic power.
Faith in tapas and truth of spiritual causality: Śabarī treats the sages’ discipline as a real force that continues to protect and sanctify the place.
