FAQs

It presents tapas (austerity) and ārādhana (devotional worship) as effective means to please Viṣṇu/Nārāyaṇa, leading to the granting of a boon.

By highlighting 'ārādhayāmāsa' (he worshipped/propitiated), it frames devotion to Nārāyaṇa as central, with austerity supporting and intensifying that devotion.

The verse suggests that sincere discipline and purity-oriented effort (tapas directed toward the 'akalmaṣa' Lord) yields legitimate fruits—divine favor granted not by entitlement, but by dedicated practice.
