FAQs

The verse explicitly names a “great-souled” figure called Sārasa (sārasena mahātmanā) as the agent whose deeds are being observed; identifying Sārasa’s narrative role requires the surrounding verses of Adhyaya 62.

It indicates that the speaker’s identity or title has been publicly revealed or correctly identified—often a sign that the listener has recognized the speaker’s true status or authority.

The verse highlights recognition through conduct: exemplary actions attributed to a noble person lead to the revelation of true identity and the disclosure of higher knowledge, implying that character and deeds are gateways to spiritual insight.
