Unspecified female speaker (context not provided in the input excerpt)

Concept: Sin hardens the tongue and isolates the self; refusal to face the worthy leads to immediate inner hell—an ‘ocean of sorrow’ experienced here and now.

Application: Do not postpone reconciliation; speak while the heart is still soft. If you feel ‘resolved on wrong,’ interrupt the pattern with prayer, seeking counsel, and a concrete act of service.

Primary Rasa: karuna

Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"Night descends on a silent house; the woman sits alone on the floor, head bowed, as if drowning in invisible waves of grief. Outside, the sky is heavy with clouds, and a small shrine lamp burns low—suggesting that hope remains but must be approached with humility.","primary_figures":["penitent woman","Devī (small shrine icon or envisioned presence)"],"setting":"Interior room with a small shrine niche, low lamp, rain-dark window, scattered flowers left unoffered; the sense of an ‘ocean’ conveyed through shadow patterns like waves.","lighting_mood":"moonlit","color_palette":["storm blue","charcoal black","lamp-gold","deep purple","pale jasmine white"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: nocturnal interior with a small Devī shrine glowing in gold leaf; the woman collapsed in sorrow, wave-like shadow motifs on the floor; rich blues and purples, ornate borders, embossed gold on lamp and shrine arch.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: quiet night room with delicate moonlight; the woman’s solitary figure rendered with refined emotion; cool blues, soft silver highlights, minimal props, lyrical melancholy.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, dramatic night palette; stylized wave-like patterns around the seated woman to symbolize duḥkha-sāgara; warm lamp-yellow against deep indigo, temple-wall composition.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: symbolic ‘ocean of sorrow’ rendered as patterned waves around the devotee; shrine with lotus motifs; deep blues and gold, intricate borders, devotional abstraction blending narrative and symbolism."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"dramatic","suggested_raga":"Bhairavi","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"emotional","sound_elements":["distant thunder","rain on roof","low temple bell","long silences between pādas"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: कथमस्यैव → कथम् + अस्य + एव; चैव → च + एव; दुःखसागरे = दुःख + सागरे (समास)।

FAQs

It expresses remorse and inner conflict: the speaker feels unworthy to speak because of a sinful resolve, followed by immediate suffering described as an “ocean of sorrow.”

A deliberate intention toward wrongdoing (pāpa-niścaya) itself leads to downfall and suffering, even before any external punishment—highlighting the moral weight of intention.

Not explicitly in this single line; it is primarily a moral-psychological statement about sin, shame, and the resulting दुःख (sorrow).
