स्नानाचमनकैरेव व्यवहारेण वर्तते । शौचमेवं समाख्यातमहिंसां तु वदाम्यहम्

snānācamanakaireva vyavahāreṇa vartate | śaucamevaṃ samākhyātamahiṃsāṃ tu vadāmyaham

Nhờ tắm gội, thực hành ācamanā (nhấp nước thanh tẩy), và cư xử đúng mực trong mọi việc thường ngày, người ta an trú trong śauca. Như vậy śauca đã được nói; nay ta giảng về ahiṁsā (bất bạo hại).
