Narada (in dialogue, instructing a divine listener addressed as Viśālākṣī)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches a tirtha-based ritual where intention (uddiśya) directs a portion of the accrued merit; the rite symbolically connects the intended recipient with the sanctifying power of the pilgrimage waters.
Though primarily ritual (karma) in tone, it reflects a bhakti-aligned principle: sincere dedication of an act to another being is spiritually efficacious, emphasizing intention and consecration rather than mere physical performance.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) is implied: the use of kuśa (a standard sacred material) and the rule of phala-allocation (one-eighth share) shows codified ritual logic typical of dharma-śāstra style instructions.
