FAQs

It highlights the Purāṇic ideal of ekāntavāsa (dwelling in solitude) as a support for tapas, self-restraint, and inner clarity—often presented as a preparatory discipline for higher knowledge and steadfast dharma.

While not explicitly naming bhakti, the instruction to live alone on earth points to reducing distractions and cultivating single-pointedness (ekāgratā), which Purāṇas frequently present as the inner condition for stable remembrance of the Lord and sincere devotional practice.

No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this line; the practical takeaway is āśrama-style discipline—solitary living for tapas and mind-control—used in Purāṇic pedagogy alongside Vedic learning.
