“Con không hiểu bản tánh chân thật của hai Ngài, vì hai Ngài an trụ trong những hình tướng do māyā tạo nên. Con đã đến nương tựa nơi hai Ngài—xin hãy nói cho con biết hai Ngài thật sự là ai.”
A supplicant/devotee addressing two divine/extraordinary beings (dialogue context within Narada Purana narration)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: karuna
The verse expresses śaraṇāgati (surrender): admitting ignorance caused by māyā and seeking direct instruction about the true Self/nature of the divine beings approached.
Bhakti begins with humility—recognizing one’s inability to see truth through māyā—and then consciously taking refuge in the divine, requesting guidance rather than relying on speculation.
A practical takeaway aligned with Vedānta-informed discernment is viveka (discrimination) between appearance (māyā-rūpa) and reality (satya-bhāva); it supports correct understanding before engaging in ritual or pilgrimage practice.
