Ai khiến dâng piṇḍa (nắm cơm cúng tổ tiên) trên bờ biển cát tường này, sau khi nhấc lên hai mươi mốt lá cỏ kuśa, sẽ đến cõi của Śakra (Indra).
Narada (traditional tirtha-mahatmya narration within Book 2)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that performing (or sponsoring) piṇḍa-dāna at a sacred ocean-shore tirtha, with the prescribed kuśa observance, yields a high heavenly fruit—attainment of Śakra’s realm—highlighting the purifying power of tirtha-based śrāddha.
Though primarily a śrāddha/tirtha-ritual verse, it supports bhakti through reverent service to dharma—honoring ancestors and sacred places as offerings made in a spirit of faith (śraddhā) and duty, which Purāṇas frame as devotional conduct aligned with divine order.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) is implied: the use and count of kuśa (twenty-one blades) and the act of piṇḍa-dāna indicate prescribed ritual details typical of śrāddha-vidhi performed at a tirtha.
