Gaṅgā-māhātmya
य इच्छेत्सफलं जन्म संततिं वा शुभानने । स पितॄंस्तर्पयेद्गंगामभिगम्य सुरांस्तथा ॥ ७ ॥
ya icchetsaphalaṃ janma saṃtatiṃ vā śubhānane | sa pitṝṃstarpayedgaṃgāmabhigamya surāṃstathā || 7 ||
Hỡi người dung nhan hiền mỹ, ai mong đời sống được viên mãn hoặc cầu con cháu, hãy đến sông Hằng (Gaṅgā) mà dâng nước cúng tổ tiên, và cũng vậy, dâng cúng lên chư thiên.
