Śāpaprāpti (Receiving a Curse) — Mohinī Narrative
Narada (teaching in a dialogue frame traditionally linked with Sanatkumara/Sanaka discourse)
Vrata: Harivasa (Ekadashi-related observance)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It states that faithful observance of Hari’s sacred days—especially not neglecting them and maintaining fasting/discipline—prevents one from becoming bound for Yama’s path, implying protection from punitive after-death realms through Viṣṇu-bhakti and vrata.
Bhakti is shown as practical devotion: honoring Hari’s appointed days (Haridina/Harivāsara) with reverence, restraint, and regular observance, making devotion a lived vow rather than only a sentiment.
It reflects kalpa (ritual discipline) and dharma-śāstra style vrata-prayoga: knowing which days are designated for Hari and following the rule of upavāsa/niyama (not eating) on those observance days.
